Round here — MK16
MK16 — Newport Pagnell, Sherington and the Ouse villages
Two very different sorts of call come out of MK16. There's the motorway — Newport Pagnell Services and the Coachway sit right on it, and anything a lorry sheds gets driven over by a hundred cars before anyone sweeps it.
Then there's the quiet half: Sherington, Chicheley, Stoke Goldington, Hardmead. Lanes with grass down the middle, no lighting and nowhere to put a jack that isn't soft.
What we get called out for round here
- Debris blowouts around Newport Pagnell Services and the roads onto the motorway
- Punctures picked up in the Milton Keynes Coachway parking after a few days away
- Verge collapses when two cars try to pass on the lanes near North Crawley
- Sharp flint and stone on the field-edge roads round Moulsoe and Chicheley
