Round here — SG1
SG1 — Stevenage, Gunnels Wood and the Old Town
Stevenage is built for driving, which means everything happens at a bit of speed — including the moment a tyre lets go. Gunnels Wood Industrial Estate alone keeps us busy, because where there are lorries and loading there are always screws on the road.
The rest of SG1 is retail parks and estates: Roaring Meg, the Leisure Park, Bedwell, Pin Green, Great Ashby. Plenty of kerbs, plenty of speed bumps, plenty of tyres that get found flat rather than heard going.
What we get called out for round here
- Screws and swarf through van tyres on the Gunnels Wood estate roads
- Kerbed alloys in the parking at Roaring Meg Retail Park and Stevenage Leisure Park
- Night-shift flats in the car parks at the Lister Hospital
- Punctures found on driveways in Great Ashby and Martins Wood first thing
