SG8 — Royston, Melbourn and the villages along the border
This is the outer edge for us. Royston and the villages round it are a proper journey from Harpenden, and we'd rather say that plainly than turn up hours after you expected us.
When we do come out, it's usually worth doing thoroughly. These are long, straight, fast roads between villages, and a tyre that fails on one leaves you standing in the open with no shelter and no pavement.
